Leipzig Travel Review

Leipzig has been known since the Middle Ages for its trade fairs and markets. Located on a plain at the meeting point of the White Elster and Pleisse rivers, Leipzig gained great commercial power.
Leipzig also became a center of art and learning, as well as an important hub for the book trade. This heritage lives on, as seen in its long-established publishing houses, large libraries (including the German National Library) and international book fair. It has long been a city of culture.
Today, Leipzig is one of the most popular travel destinations in eastern Germany. With its rich cultural and musical heritage, it is often named one of the most livable cities in Europe. For visitors, it is a well-run city with plenty to do in its compact old town.
BMW Central Building

One of the BMW Group's top-level headquarters. You can see a great deal of BMW's development history here, and it is truly impressive. There is a display of luxury cars well worth a visit.
Augustusplatz

This square becomes livelier in summer, and many people come here to sit and relax. There is a fountain in the middle, plenty of attractions around the square, and you can go shopping nearby.
Naschmarkt

In the heart of the city, with lots of tasty snacks and cute sweets stalls, this is known as Snack Square, the square in front of the Old Town Hall. There are plenty of German treats here, as well as fruit and vegetable stalls. On Tuesdays and Fridays there is a market selling delicious roasted German pork knuckle at a good price.
This square is very lively after sunset and in the afternoon, when you can see many locals and tourists gathering here. There are also places to eat near the square, and street musicians perform. A very interesting square.
Old Town Hall

The Old Town Hall is now the city museum, introducing the city's long history of development. Leipzig's old town hall is a standout building here, both ancient and architecturally beautiful. It stands right next to Snack Square.
Madlerpassage

A building on a famous shopping street, with a wide variety of goods, and an arcade design that feels very elegant. The spacious stone arcade looks stylish. It is a very beautiful building with a long history, large clear windows, and a layout full of complete artistic design.
Gewandhaus zu Leipzig

The New Marriotts Concert Hall is considered a very famous concert hall in the city, and most musical events are held here. The stage is very large, the equipment is advanced, and it is well worth experiencing. The atmosphere is wonderful.
