Travel Insurance Guide for the Schengen Area

With a single purchase you are covered for the whole year, and you never have to worry about departure and return dates, because the annual plan covers up to 90 days per trip. It also saves you the time of searching for a new travel insurance plan every time you travel.

How do I buy travel insurance online?
For your insurance to be effective from the very start of your trip, you can buy it at any time, as long as you are still in Thailand. #Please remember: you must buy it before you travel.

Which plan do I need for a Schengen visa?

The travel insurance plan used to apply for a Schengen visa must provide the following coverage:

1 A coverage limit of 30,000 euros, or approximately 1.5 million THB
2 Coverage of expenses related to repatriation to Thailand in case of illness, emergency medical treatment and/or hospital admission, or death while in the Schengen area
3 Coverage for the whole journey, from the moment you leave Thailand until you return to Thailand

The AXA travel insurance plans accepted by embassies for Schengen visa applications are Plus-Lite, Gold, Platinum and Emerald, which carry the "Schengen Visa Approved" mark.

If your visa is not approved, the company will refund your premium in full, provided there is proof from the embassy and the policyholder notifies the company before the coverage start date.
