An all-in-one northern lights trip that starts at the Northern Norway Travel shop by the Prostneset harbor in Tromsø. Coffee or tea is served while you meet your coordinator and hear the plan for the night. Then you travel in a Mercedes Sprinter with a driver and a certified coordinator, in a group of up to 15. The route is chosen from the latest forecast and may reach Finland.
When the right spot is found, you change into a thermal suit and sit by the campfire, enjoying freshly cooked hot food, hot drinks and snacks while you wait for the northern lights. Your coordinator helps with photos, and your digital photos are available to download within 48 hours. It suits first-time visitors who want a trip that needs little preparation. Children must be 8 or older.
A weather update is sent at 9 a.m. on the day of the trip. If the sky is cloudy across the whole region, you can reschedule or cancel for a refund until noon that day. Wear several layers of wool, winter boots, and bring your passport in case you cross into Finland. The ground may be icy and slippery. The northern lights cannot be guaranteed.
