An evening trip to Tromsø Villmarkssenter, about 25-35 minutes from Tromsø. The area is dark and far from city lights, making it ideal for sitting out and waiting for the northern lights. For dinner, choose between bacalao, a fish dish with Portuguese roots, or a vegetarian menu, served with hot drinks.
After dinner, sit around the fire in a Sami-style lavvu tent, or head outside to sit on reindeer skins and chairs and watch the sky. A coordinator is on hand to answer questions and tell stories about the northern lights throughout the night. You will also visit the kennel of Alaskan huskies and their puppies. It suits families with children and older travelers who want a relaxed atmosphere.
There is no dog sledding on this trip. The northern lights are not guaranteed, but even if they don't appear much, you will still meet the huskies and enjoy a warm dinner. Warm clothing is provided, but please bring your own gloves and hat. If you are traveling with young children, you will need to bring your own car seat. Our team can help book the departure you want.
