This Northern Lights tour by Aurora 7 runs from September to April, departing from central Tromsø. The coordinator will brief you on the aurora forecast, night photography tips, and the planned route for the evening. Before heading out, thermal suits are available to borrow, followed by a comfortable ride in a luxury minibus with a panoramic glass roof, accommodating up to 15 guests per group. The tour is conducted in English, German, and Spanish.
The coordinator uses local expertise and live weather data to choose the best vantage point, whether by a fjord, an open valley, or a frozen lake. If skies over Tromsø are overcast, the tour may travel further inland or cross into Finland, where the climate is drier and skies are often clearer. Once on site, warm drinks and traditional Norwegian snacks are served. The coordinator assists with camera settings and provides professional digital photos online for free within 48 hours.
Please bring your passport or national ID card, and wear adequately warm winter clothing and gloves. Children aged 7 and older are welcome to join.
