This activity starts in the town of Skjervøy, north of Tromsø (round-trip transfers to Skjervøy are not included). Operated by Explore 70 Degrees, available from Nov-Apr. Meet at 17:45 at the provider's office in the town center; departure is at 18:00. Group size is limited to 12 people.
A coordinator will teach you how to use snowshoes and poles before setting off. The route begins near the town center and gradually leaves the houses and lights behind. Along the way, hear local stories, and if the timing aligns with the Hurtigruten ship schedule, you might see the ship docking. When skies are clear, there is a chance to see the Northern Lights; even if they do not appear, you can still enjoy stargazing and the snowy night landscape, accompanied by warm drinks and sweet treats.
Please dress warmly according to the weather; wool base layers are recommended. Suitable for children aged 6 and up, easy level. The activity requires sufficient snow, and the route may be adjusted depending on snow and weather conditions. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on the weather and cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and handle bookings for you.
