Multi-day trips Winter CB-1743693

A multi-day package by Basecamp Senja organized exclusively for Christmas from December 22–26 (5 days, 4 nights). Priced per person for groups of 2–10 people, ages 12 and up. On Day 1, board a large whale-watching vessel with a heated cabin departing central Tromsø around 08:00 toward Skjervøy, where humpback and killer whales have gathered to feed on herring in recent years. Returning to the city by 17:00, take an approximate 3-hour taxi transfer to Skaland village on Senja island to check in at Posthuset Expedition Lodge or Bedehuset with a warm dinner served.

Day 2 explores viewpoints along the Norwegian Scenic Route Senja along the outer coast, followed by evening northern lights chasing. On Christmas Eve, December 24, embark on an open zodiac cruise through Bergsfjorden looking for seals and white-tailed sea eagles, followed by a traditional Norwegian Christmas dinner and indoor Christmas activities. On December 25, visit the husky farm at Ottemoen home to around 35 dogs for an approximately 3-hour snow sledding experience. On the final day, depart at 09:30 to board the Hurtigruten or Havila from Finnsnes at 11:30, arriving in Tromsø at 14:15.

Price includes 4 nights of accommodation, 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 3 two-course dinners, activities per itinerary, 2–3 lectures, and scheduled transfers. Meals aboard the whale watching boat are not included, and return ferry tickets from Finnsnes back to Tromsø must be self-booked. Please pack warm winter clothing for the Arctic winter.
