This daytime tour operated by Activenorth departs from in front of Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromsø at 8:15 AM. You'll ride Activenorth's bus for about 2 hours to reach the camp in Skibotn Valley around 10:30 AM. At the camp, you'll receive thermal winter suits and instructions before heading out with a team of Alaskan huskies.

The dog sledding ride lasts about 60 minutes, taking you through snow-covered pine forests and open fields with views of the surrounding mountains and the Lyngen Alps. Afterward, warm up back at the camp with hot soup, bread, coffee, and tea before taking the bus back to Tromsø, arriving around 4:00 PM. From December to early January, parts or all of the tour may take place in darkness; headlamps are provided, and if there is not enough snow, a cart on wheels may be used instead.

This is a moderate-level tour suitable for children aged 5 and up. We recommend wearing wool base layers and bringing spare wool socks, a buff or neck gaiter, and ski goggles or sunglasses. Thermal suits, boots, mittens, and hats are provided at the camp. Our team can check availability and book it for you.
