A full-day trip for anyone who wants to try driving a snowmobile for the first time. The Activenorth vehicle leaves Tromsø in the morning and arrives in Skibotn at around 10:30. Our coordinator will teach you how to drive and go over safety before you set off. No previous experience is needed.
Each snowmobile is shared by two people, who take turns driving along the way. The route winds through snowy forest and wide open plains with the Lyngen Alps as a backdrop, with stops for photos. After the safari, you return to Helligskogen Fjellstue for hot reindeer soup with fresh bread and a hot drink, with some time to stroll around before heading back to Tromsø at around 16:00.
Drivers must bring their original, valid driving licence. Licences from all countries are accepted. If you don't have one, you can still join as a passenger riding behind the driver. Children aged 5 and over can take part. We recommend wearing a wool base layer and bringing a spare pair of wool socks, a scarf, and sunglasses or ski goggles. Our team will help with the booking and remind you about the documents you need.
