Dog sledding WinterSpring CB-2843379

This afternoon tour by operator Activenorth departs from outside the Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromsø at noon sharp. Enjoy an approximate 2-hour drive to the husky camp in Skibotn Valley, arriving around 2:15 PM. Receive warm winter gear, get to know the Alaskan husky pack, and listen to the musher explain safety guidelines and sled handling.

Then, drive your own dog sled for around 60 minutes through snow-covered pine forests and open valley fields, with panoramic mountain views and the Lyngen Alps. Warm up back at camp with hot soup, bread, coffee, and tea before heading back to Tromsø, arriving around 20:00. From December to early January, sledding may take place partly or entirely in the dark; headlamps are provided.

This is a moderate-level tour suitable for children aged 5 and up. We recommend wearing thermal woolen underwear and bringing spare wool socks, a buff, and ski goggles or sunglasses. Please inform us of any food allergies when booking. Early in the season, if there is not enough snow, wheeled carts may be used instead. Our team can check availability and book this for you.
