A 3-hour cruise from Tromsø with Brim Explorer, on a boat powered by electricity for about 75% of the route, so it is quiet and smooth. The captain chooses the route according to that night's forecast. You may head north to Kvaløyvågen, south to Ramfjorden, or west along Kvaløya to look for gaps in the clouds.
While you wait for the northern lights, relax in the heated cabin. Your coordinator shares stories about the northern lights and helps with photos when they appear. Light food is served, soup with focaccia bread, and you can buy extra drinks at the café. On the way back you can see the city and the Arctic Cathedral from the sea. It suits seniors and families, as there is no walking on snow.
Please arrive at the harbor by 18:45 at the latest. Dress warmly for standing out on deck. Outside food and drinks are not allowed on board. Guests who need mobility assistance should let us know in advance. The northern lights cannot be guaranteed.
