This evening trip leaves Tromsø at 19:00 on the wooden boat Hermes II, built in 1917. As you cruise past mountains and coastline, your host tells the story of the boat and invites everyone to try fishing from the deck. Only 5-6 rods are used at a time to avoid tangled lines, so everyone takes turns and gets a chance. No prior experience is needed.
Everyone receives a piece of hot, traditional fish cake. If you catch a fish, it will be cooked on board and served with flatbread and butter. Coffee and tea are provided. From May 18 to July 25, if the sky is clear, you may see the midnight sun, but both the sunshine and the fish depend on nature and cannot be guaranteed.
It suits families, friends and seniors, as the boat has a warm cabin, a toilet, warm overalls and blankets. Bring a hat, scarf, gloves and warm shoes, because it is colder out at sea in the evening than you might expect. Please do not bring your own food or drinks on board, except for young children or guests with food allergies.
