A private northern lights tour exclusively for your group of 1-8 people, priced per group. Operated by Borealis Tour and available from Sep to Apr, featuring a private local coordinator and a 9-seater Mercedes. Pickup in front of Clarion Hotel The Edge at 19:00, or arrange an alternative pickup location in advance.
The coordinator will take you out of Tromsø to find clear skies. The route is determined by the weather, clouds, and road conditions, and may pass through snowy forests, along fjords, or across mountain areas. Along the way, hear stories about the northern lights and Arctic nature. Once at a suitable spot, sit around a campfire (weather permitting), enjoy hot drinks and local snacks, and roast sausages and marshmallows. The coordinator assists with camera or mobile phone settings, and photos from the trip are included in the price.
Thermal winter suits, tripods, heat packs, and headlamps are provided when needed, but you should bring warm clothing, a scarf, warm boots, drinking water, and extra snacks. Restrooms along the way are limited. The tour is not wheelchair accessible, and children aged 4 and older can participate. If the northern lights are not visible that night, no refunds are provided, but you will receive a 50% discount on a new tour with the operator. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on the weather, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and book for you.
