The Capella boat tour by Polar Adventures departs from Front Pier in central Tromsø at 10:00 AM year-round. As the boat cruises toward Ryøya Island, the city gradually fades into the distance, surrounded by mountains and fjords. Near the island, you will see fishing villages and coastlines while keeping an eye out for seabirds, seals, and white-tailed eagles.
Next, the boat heads toward Ramfjord, encircled by towering mountains. Our coordinator will point out key sights, share the region's history and culture, and help spot wildlife, with plenty of photo stops along the way. Thermal flotation suits, safety equipment, and fishing gear are provided onboard, along with tea, water, and juice. Snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, and fish soup or lunch are not included in the price.
It is usually colder at sea than on land, so we recommend bringing gloves, a warm hat, windproof thermal pants, and a warm jacket. Seats onboard cannot be reserved in advance; each person gets one seat chosen upon boarding. Children aged 5 and older can join. Wildlife sightings depend on nature and cannot be guaranteed.
