A photography excursion operated by Marianne’s Heaven on Earth Aurora Chaser Tours. All coordinators are professional photographers specializing in landscape, low-light, and rural imagery. Marianne hails from Tromvik, a fishing village west of Tromsø where her family has lived and worked since the early 18th century. Available year-round.
This tour brings you into fjords and landscapes experienced through local eyes, well away from the main tourist routes. Listen to tales of trolls turned to stone and local folklore from the area. Visit a traditional Norwegian home—whether you are focused on photography or simply enjoying the peaceful views. The area boasts abundant wildlife, offering opportunities to spot sea eagles, as well as humpback whales or orcas in season.
Minimum age is 16 years, accommodating 2 to 15 guests. Thermal winter suits, boots, hats, gloves, ice cleats, hand and foot warmers, and tripods are all provided. Please dress suitably for Arctic weather. Let us know in advance if you have dog hair allergies. Professional camera rentals are available for an extra fee. Whale and wildlife sightings are natural occurrences and cannot be guaranteed. Our team is ready to check dates and arrange bookings for you.
