Hiking & adventure Winter CB-2033493

If you don't have much time but want to experience walking on deep snow, this trip takes around 2.5 hours, with a short drive from central Tromsø to the forest on Tromsøya island. Operated by Tromsø Outdoor, running from November to March.

Your coordinator will teach you how to put on and walk in snowshoes along an easy trail, stopping for scenic photos and sharing stories about life in the Arctic. Along the way, take a break to enjoy hot drinks with lefse, a traditional Norwegian pastry. Groups of 2-15 people; children aged 8 and up are welcome.

Dress warmly in windproof and waterproof layers, and wear sturdy, warm hiking boots. From mid-February onwards, bring sunglasses and sunscreen. Our team can check availability and book for you.
