The Polar Museum in Tromsø offers short guided tours of about 30 minutes, exploring polar history with a focus on Arctic overwintering trappers, seal hunting, and polar expeditions. Available exclusively during the summer season from June to August.
A coordinator introduces the people, challenges, and equipment used in the world's northernmost regions through stories of Arctic survival. Conducted in English for up to 15 participants per group, it is suitable for both families and adults. Children under 13 years old can join free of charge.
The museum has steep stairs and no elevator, so visitors with mobility issues should take this into account. Tickets include a coordinator and museum admission. If space permits, tickets can be purchased on the day at the museum, but booking in advance ensures availability. Our team can check open dates and book for you.
