An option for those who don't want to sit on a bus for hours. This 3-hour cruise leaves from central Tromsø on the catamaran Arctic Princess or Arctic Charm, and sometimes on the yacht Arctic Queen, depending on the number of passengers and the weather. Each boat takes no more than 12 people, so the atmosphere is calm and private.
On board there is a warm panoramic cabin and an outdoor lounge area where you can go out and watch the sky when conditions allow. Homemade fish soup is served on the way back, along with coffee, tea and snacks. Thermal suits are available to use on the boat, and the trip ends with a personal piece of digital art inspired by the journey. It suits couples, seniors and families.
From late August to mid-September the boat departs at 22:00 because it is still light. At other times it usually departs at 19:00. Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring a hat, gloves and warm shoes. The northern lights cannot be guaranteed, but even if the sky is cloudy you can still enjoy the city lights from the sea.
