An evening Northern Lights chase from Tromsø in a modern, comfortable minibus. Our coordinator chooses the route based on the weather and the aurora activity that night. Most nights we circle the coast near the city, but on some nights we may drive about 210 km toward the Finnish border to find the clearest sky.
If the weather cooperates, we stop for a campfire with hot drinks and light snacks. And if the Northern Lights put on a good show that night, our team will send you photos within 2 days after the trip. Suitable for guests aged 12 and over who want a chance to travel farther in search of the Northern Lights.
Temperatures at this time of year can range from +5 to -30 degrees. Please wear thermal underwear, gloves, a hat, wool socks and winter boots, and have dinner before departure. The Northern Lights depend on nature and cannot be guaranteed. On the way back, we drop off guests staying within 5 km of the Magic Ice Bar.
