This Northern Lights chase by Green Gold of Norway runs from September to April. Meet at 19:00 in front of the main entrance of Radisson Blu Hotel in Tromsø, followed by a short walk to the operator's nearby office. Group sizes are 1-8 people. The coordinator uses the latest forecasts to select areas around Tromsø with the highest chance of clear skies that night.
Before departure, you will receive tips on camera or smartphone settings for night photography, along with thermal suits and boots before boarding the minivan. On some nights the aurora appears right away, while other nights require more patience. Enjoy coffee, tea, and muffins while waiting. The coordinator takes photos and emails them to you after the tour.
Please wear warm layers underneath. Minimum age is 10 years old. The coordinator guides in English. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on the weather, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and book for you.
