An evening cruise operated by Full Steam Tromsø, available from Oct-Apr. Meet at 18:45 at Full Steam in central Tromsø. The experience begins with a presentation at Full Steam Museum covering the science, history, and folklore surrounding the Northern Lights, along with a briefing on that evening's weather and route.
At 19:00, board the historic MS Strønstad and sail out of the city to watch for the Northern Lights from the sea. The vessel offers a heated cabin to stay warm, along with coffee, tea, and biscuits, plus thermal suits available to borrow during the cruise. If interested, you may request to visit the wheelhouse and chat with the captain. An onboard sauna and jacuzzi are available as optional add-ons, with towels and bathrobes provided.
Please wear warm clothes and sturdy winter shoes, bring your camera, and pack swimwear if booking the sauna or jacuzzi. Advance booking is recommended; each departure accommodates 2-35 people.
