An evening northern lights tour from Tromsø led by local coordinators, with groups of up to 18 people. You travel by minibus with a professional driver. The coordinators track the clouds, weather and aurora activity all night, then wind through fjords and valleys to find clear skies. Some nights you may even go as far as the Finnish border area.
Along the way there are several stops for photos and sky-watching. Your coordinator shares stories about Arctic life, local culture and the science of the northern lights. When the weather allows, there is a campfire with coffee, hot chocolate and snacks. Thermal suits are provided, and professional photos are sent to you after the trip. It suits families with children aged 7 and over, and anyone who wants to learn more than just watching the lights.
The trip is fairly long and you return late, depending on how far we need to travel. Wear several layers, a hat, gloves and winter boots. The northern lights cannot be guaranteed, and this trip does not accommodate wheelchairs. If you are interested, our team can book it for you.
