A private tour exclusively for your group of up to 8 people, priced per group. Operated by Aurora Exclusive, departing from Prostneset Port in Tromsø in the afternoon. Travel in a spacious and warm vehicle to their private basecamp in Skibotn, or if the skies are clearer toward Kilpisjärvi in Finland, the tour will head to the basecamp there instead.
The basecamp is set well away from main roads with no other tour groups around. Sit by the campfire with comfortable seating, roast sausages and marshmallows, sip hot drinks, and sample traditional Norwegian or Sámi dishes. The local coordinator shares stories of the region and Sámi history. Whenever you feel cold, you can warm up inside the building, and restrooms are available.
Please bring your passport as the tour may cross into Finland. Dress in warm clothing and boots, and bring a camera or phone for photos. Children aged 5 and older are welcome. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on the weather, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and book for you.
