A private trip exclusively for your group of 1-6 people, priced per group, operated by Explore the Arctic. Sail into Kattfjord and the western waters of Kvaløya near Tromsø, a renowned sea fishing spot for centuries. Available for booking year-round, with flexible departure times to suit your schedule.
The coordinator will introduce the gear and techniques before setting off. Beginners are welcome, and the trip is tailored to your group's experience level. Common catches include cod, coalfish, and haddock. Along the way, you may spot porpoises, seals, otters, sea eagles, and various seabirds. After the trip, savor a warm meal made from local ingredients in a cozy lounge, and if you would like to take your catch home, the coordinator will prepare it for you.
Flotation suits, boots, socks, hats, and mittens are provided, but please dress warmly in your own thermal layers. Departure is from Lauklines on Kvaløya; round-trip transfers from central Tromsø are available at an extra charge. If child car seats are needed, please request them at least one week in advance. Wildlife sightings depend on nature. Our team is happy to check availability and handle bookings for you.
