A private boat tour exclusively for your own group of 1 to 6 people, with group pricing, operated by Explore the Arctic. The trip departs from Lauklines on Kvaløya Island (Kvaløya), with flexible departure times to suit your schedule. Pick-up transfers from Tromsø (Tromsø) can also be arranged at an additional cost.
Your coordinator captain will share stories about the area's history and nature, taking you to see Håja Island—the inspiration behind the Arctic Cathedral—and often stopping around Ersfjord, Skamtind, and Sommarøy (Sommarøy). The route can be customized according to what your group would like to see. You can try fishing if you are interested, and enjoy a warm local meal, traditional desserts, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Sea eagles can be seen year-round, and you will often spot porpoises (porpoise), seals, and otters, with puffins appearing in the summer.
Flotation suits, boots, socks, hats, and gloves are provided. Please dress warmly. All ages are welcome; if you need a child car seat, please notify us at least one week in advance. After the trip, you will receive photos taken by the coordinator. Whales and wildlife are natural phenomena and depend on weather conditions, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and handle bookings for you.
