Tromsø is located north of the Arctic Circle, so the whole region is blanketed in snow in winter. Snowshoeing is a simple way to get out and experience nature up close. A coordinator from Legendary Adventure leads you through snowy mountains and fjords, and all the equipment, including snowshoes and poles, is provided.
Along the way you may encounter Arctic wildlife such as reindeer, foxes or various seabirds, but this depends on nature on the day and is not guaranteed. This trip suits people who are fit enough to walk continuously, aged 10 and over. There is a morning departure for those who want to enjoy the views, and an evening departure for those who want to walk in the darkness of the winter.
