A winter hiking trip operated by Vikran Touring departing from Tromsø at 6:00 PM. Take a 30-40 minute drive to Ersfjord, a fjord surrounded by towering mountains on Kvaløya island, and embark on a snowshoe hike up Mount Nattmålsfjellet. Available from November to April.
The pace is steady and adapted to the group, with regular stops to enjoy the view, take photos, and learn about Arctic nature. The evening hike uses headlamps; climbing higher away from city lights brings a great chance to see the Northern Lights above the fjord. Daytime departures are also available on weekends. Small group of 2-8 people, moderate difficulty, ages 12 and up.
Please wear warm layers and sturdy, warm boots. If you need thermal suits or winter boots, let us know in advance. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on the weather, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team can check availability and book for you.
