This half-day-plus trip leaves central Tromsø and heads west along the coastal route. You stop for photos at Ersfjord, surrounded by steep mountains, and at Sandvika's white sandy beach, where turquoise water contrasts with the Arctic landscape, before reaching Sommarøy island, a seaside community famous for its clear water and white sand. Your coordinator, who has been connected to the area all their life, shares stories about local life and traditions along the way.
If the weather allows, you hike up Ørnfløya, a viewpoint near Sommarøy. The trail is easy, climbing about 155 meters, and takes around 30 minutes up and 30 minutes down. From the top you can see Sommarøy, Hillesøy, Brensholmen, Senja island and the Norwegian Sea. Afterward you enjoy a light meal with coffee or tea by the coast, or inside the minibus if the weather is bad. Depending on the season, you may see reindeer or sea eagles.
Small groups of 6-16 people, ages 10 and up. It suits couples, photography lovers and anyone who wants to see the fjords but has less than a full day. Professional photos are sent by email after the trip. Wear hiking shoes and bring drinking water. Our team can help you book the best date.
