A relaxed scenic trip leaving Tromsø at 10:00 a.m. along the coastal roads of Kvaløya and Sommarøy, two of the most beautiful areas in northern Norway, with fjords, mountains, white sand beaches and clear sea. Your Coordinator stops at several spots so you can get out and take photos.
Kvaløya is a place where you have a chance of seeing wildlife, such as reindeer by the roadside, moose, white-tailed sea eagles and seabirds on the cliffs. In some seasons you may even see orcas or humpback whales, but everything depends on nature that day. At midday, stop for a meal at Sommarøy Arctic Hotel by the sea, with vegan and vegetarian options available. Along the way, your Coordinator tells you about the fishing way of life and island living.
The tour runs all year round. Easy level, not physically demanding, suitable for seniors, families and anyone who wants to see the Arctic coastline in one day without driving themselves.
