This trip starts in Skjervøy, north of Tromsø, and does not include travel from Tromsø. The departure time is set to match the Arctic Bus. The RIB is a small rigid inflatable speedboat carrying a maximum of 12 people, giving you a close-up view of the sea, the fjords and the wildlife.
Depending on the season and conditions, you may see orcas, humpback whales, fin whales or sperm whales, and pilot whales have also been spotted in this area. A certified captain and a local coordinator run the whale watching with respect for the animals, never chasing or disturbing them. It is ideal for adventurous travelers and photographers who want to get close to nature. Children must be 6 years or older and 120 cm tall.
Insulated flotation suits, life jackets, gloves and wind goggles are provided, but please bring your own wool base layers and warm footwear, as the boat is open and the sea wind is very cold. Whales are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed. Our team can help plan your journey to Skjervøy.
