Polaria, Tromsø's Arctic experience center and aquarium, hosts yoga classes in The Deep room right beneath the seal pool. Through large glass windows, you can watch seals swimming back and forth, with some curiously pausing to look into the class. The soothing blue-green light from the water creates a calm, tranquil ambiance.
The 60-minute class combines continuous movement, mindfulness, gentle strengthening, and stretching, focusing on breathwork and staying present. The instructor, Ina Borch, brings a contemporary dance background and years of yoga teaching experience across Australia and Norway. Taught in English, both beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.
Classes take place every Monday morning from September through March, with yoga mats and blocks provided. Please wear comfortable workout attire and bring your own water bottle. Private group or corporate sessions are also available upon request. Our team can check available dates and book for you.
