An evening cruise operated by Brim Explorer departs from the pier next to Skarven Kro in central Tromsø, running from October to April. Cruise the surrounding fjords aboard a hybrid-electric vessel that typically runs on electric power for about three-quarters of the route. The heated saloon features expansive panoramic windows to take in Arctic landscapes as the ship sails away from city lights.
During the cruise, enjoy a 3-course set dinner starting with cured herring, followed by Arctic cod with winter vegetables, and finished with apple-cinnamon panna cotta. Vegetarian options and a children's menu (ages 3–11) are available, and the menu is subject to change. Onboard hosts share stories about Tromsø, Northern Norwegian culinary traditions, and the importance of fishing to the region. If skies are clear, you may witness the Northern Lights from out on the fjord.
Warm Arctic clothing is recommended if you wish to stand out on the open deck. Dietary requirements and food allergies must be requested at least 24 hours in advance, and outside food or drinks are not permitted onboard.
