The best time to visit the Dolomites
Mid-June to early October, summer, is the best time for hiking and enjoying the natural scenery.
Late June to mid-July: you will see alpine wildflowers in bloom everywhere. This is the busiest period for tourists.
Late July to early August: some flowers can still be seen in bloom, depending on the weather.
Mid-September to early October: autumn, when the leaves change color. It is slightly quieter than summer, with fewer tourists and cheaper accommodation, but you should check the operating hours of the cable car and chairlift.
November to April: winter, when white snow covers the whole area. Very few accommodations and huts on the plateau are open, and you should check the operating hours of the cable car and chairlift.
