Phaluang Waterfall Forest Park, Si Mueang Mai District, Ubon Ratchathani
Very few people know about this place, but it is well worth a visit.
The highlight is Phaluang Waterfall (when there is water). It is another waterfall where you can stand in the cave behind the curtain of water and walk right along the whole length of the falls. (The cave is used by monks for meditation.)

The other two attractions are a viewpoint called Mo Hin (you can stand on the rock ledge and pose for photos) and the wildflower fields (there are three, and the biggest is the Big Flower Field, as its name says). Many kinds of flowers bloom with the seasons, but there are flowers all year round. I saw tiny flowers everywhere and couldn't recognize a single one.)

Up here there are free tent camping spots on rock terraces in three places, but only one of them has a natural water source. Up top it is fine as long as it isn't too hot or too windy.
The place is a low mountain, and the top is a huge, flat sandstone plateau with oddly shaped rocks along the cliffs and across the plateau. You can walk a loop around the cliff, but I don't recommend it because it is very easy to get lost. Don't trust the map on the board. When walking to the different spots, follow the signs and watch the markings carefully. In the forest sections the path is clear, but you will get lost on the rock plateau. I walked in circles twice looking for one particular rock and never found it.

The road here is good and easy to drive. The way up to the cliff is nicely paved with concrete, and there are two routes up and down that form a loop past the waterfall. The rock plateau up top has many forks. The other route up leads to Wat Pha Phueng Phu Luang, but I don't recommend it because it is extremely steep.
